HR Trinity Oak's Riverboat Ruby

Ruby is a stylish chocolate female who is a lovely balance of intense drive and sensible disposition. What we love about Ruby is her serious nature about retrieving and hunting; She is always ready to work, whether doing handling drills in the yard or training during the hunt test season. She's also super willing and quick to catch on to new concepts in training; talented, low drama and very smart.

Along-side her drive, she also knows how to chill out. The young kids like to play with her in the yard, leading her around everywhere and nowhere at the same time, and she goes along with it well.

We first brought this bloodline into the kennel in 2007 and it has produced so many wonderful dogs. Ruby reminds me a lot of her mama, River; She's a hunting machine and great asset when teaching young dogs how to get in the brush and dig out a bird. She works non-stop from the minute you release her from your side making her a easy favorite among hunting friends.

She is a solid marking dog, who lines and handles well. She is an excellent swimmer and doesn't shy away from breaking ice on a retrieve.

Ruby is a wonderful dog and we plan to finish her Hunting Retriever Champion title in 2026.

Ruby weighs about 60 lb.
